THE PROGRAM – LABOUR DAY WEEKEND – SEPTEMBER 2-5, 2022
All Valley West Stampede events will be held in the Langley Riders Society outdoor arena and will be surrounded by special festival events on the grounds throughout the long weekend.
Friday, September 2
SPECIAL “OUTLAW DINNER CLUB” KICK OFF FUNDRAISING DINNER – George Preston Community Centre – 6:00 P.M. to 1 A.M. Tickets are available online at https://valleywest.ventures with proceeds going to 4-H activities in the Langley area and the Langley Riders Society. Entertainment by March Hare.
Saturday, Sunday and Monday – September 3, 4 and 5
Langley 4H Exhibits – George Preston Lacrosse Box – all day
4-H teams will be on hand to provide an opportunity to showcase the hard work of the 4H participants to show their love for animals and have some on hand for the public to enjoy.
Valley West Stampede Rodeo – Langley Riders Society Outdoor Arena – 2:00 P.M to 5:00 P.M.
The main event. Participants from Langley and away will compete for the $20,000 prize money available in each of the four events: bare back riding, ladies barrel racing, saddle bronc and bull riding. Mutton busting for junior riders will round out the event.
Beer gardens, food trucks and concessions will be operating on site each day
Indigenous Protocols and Special Guests
Kwantlen First Nation members and Indigenous Knowledge Keepers such as the Waceya Metis Society will be helping with opening ceremonies and will be performing at special times throughout the event.
Sunday Morning Cowboy Breakfast (8-10 A.M.), followed by Cowboy Church (10 A.M.)
